Manchester duo to fight it out for Barca star

Manchester City and Manchester United will reportedly battle it out for the services of Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic this winter.

The Croatia international joined the Catalan giants from Sevilla over the summer, and has since failed to earn sufficient game-time at the club.

According to The Express, Rakitic is unhappy at the way he is being treated at Camp Nou, and could seek for new pastures elsewhere in the upcoming transfer window.

The report adds that City and United are among the top clubs interested in his signature, and could try to outbid each other in the race to sign the midfield maestro.
