Arsenal watching French youngster

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the progress of Nantes midfielder Jordan Veretout, according to The Mirror.

The Franc Under-21 is regarded as one of the finest young talents in Ligue 1, and has been strongly associated with a switch to Spain.

A report from The Mirror claims that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has sent scouts to keep tabs on the 21-year-old, with a view to an offer for his services next summer.

Veretout currently has a £4m release clause in his contract.
