Liverpool close to Fernando Torres capture
Liverpool are reportedly finishing their move for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres, according to The Star.
The Spain international made his name as his striker at Liverpool, before switching to Stamford Bridge in January 2011.
However, Torres failed to replicate his form at the Blues, and was subsequently sent to AC Milan on a two-year loan deal over the summer.
The Star reports that manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on having the Reds favourite back at the Merseyside, and will make a bid of around £10m for his services when the transfer window reopens in January.
Torres scored 82 goals in 142 games for Liverpool.
