AS Roma ponder Benteke swoop

Serie A giants AS Roma are reportedly mulling over an offer for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke in January, according to Sport Mediaset.

The Belgium international has been in good form in recent weeks, and this has attracted interest from the Giallorossi.

According to the report, Roma boss Rudi Garcia could make a move for Benteke, should star striker Mattia Destro depart from the Capital outfit in the New Year.

Benteke is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League, and it is only a matter of time before he makes a switch to a top European side.
