Aston Villa and Tottenham battle for Dele Alli signature

MK Dons' 18 year old midfielder Dele Alli is a target for both Aston Villa and Tottenham and both Premier League clubs are set to make a bid for the starlet prior to the January transfer window deadline.

Alli has emerged in recent seasons as one of England's best young talents and Spurs' coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to snap him up as soon as possible before other top teams show an interest.

Aston Villa on the other hand also have been in contact with MK Dons and have offered Alli the promise of Premier League football immediately, which is said to appeal to the youngster. At Tottenham, Alli is likely to play for a season or more in the reserve side.

Alli is expected to make a move to his next club before the transfer window closes this evening.
