Chuba Akpom to sign new Arsenal deal?

Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom is understood to be on the verge of signing a new long-term deal at the Emirates.

The England Under-21 international has showed excellent progress at the youth levels, and has been offered his chance from the bench by manager Arsene Wenger this season.

Akpom is tipped to have the potential to have a great career at the Gunners, and BBC Sport claims that the 19-year-old will put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal on Wednesday.

Arsenal play away at North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.
