Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick is considered as a summer target for AC Milan, according to a report.

Recent reports reveal that the former Spurs man has been offered a contract extension, with his existing deal set to expire at the end of the season.

However, The Star claims that the Rossoneri are confident of luring the midfield enforcer for nothing when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

The 33-year-old has made 14 appearances for United in all competitions this season.
