Arsenal given boost in Khedira pursuit

Arsenal could still get their hands of German international Sami Khedira at the end of the season, Metro reports.

The World Cup winner has failed to play on a regular basis at Los Blancos this season, and is expected to exit the Bernabeu once his existing deal concludes at the end of the season.

Reports earlier revealed that the talented midfielder had agreed on a pre-contract to join Bundesliga side Schalke 04 this summer.

However, Metro claims that there has been no agreement put between the parties concerned, and Khedira has yet to seek a new club.

Arsenal host West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday.
