Arsenal ready bid for Petr Cech

Arsenal will look to secure the services of goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The Czech international is no longer considered as the number one at the Blues, with manager Jose Mourinho preferring Thibaut Courtois ahead of him for the goalkeeping role.

According to Metro, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen on signing Cech, as he would provide stiff competition to the likes of Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina for the shot-stopper's job.

The report adds that the North London outfit will make a bid of around £6m for the former Rennes man.
