Bakary Sako to join Aston Villa on free transfer?

Aston Villa are winning the race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Bakary Sako on a Bosman fee this summer.

The Mali international is expected to exit the Molineux once his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

According to The Mirror, the Villans are in pole position to sign up the attacking midfielder, as manager Tim Sherwood aims to bolster his midfield options for the next campaign.

Premier League side West Bromwich Albion are also thought to be interested in the 26-year-old.

Sako joined the Wolves from Saint-Etienne in 2012.
