Man Utd plan James Milner move

Manchester United are planning a late bid for English midfielder James Milner.

Milner's existing deal at Manchester City expires in the summer, and he will be available on a free transfer.

Liverpool have been tipped to be favourites to sign up the former Villa man in recent weeks.

However, The People claims United chief executive Ed Woodward has made an enquiry with Milner's agent regarding a possible summer move.

Milner made 32 league appearances for the Citizens this season.
