Arsenal open to Nacho Monreal sale?

Arsenal are reportedly open to the sale of defender Nacho Monreal this summer.

The Spain international joined the Gunners from Malaga in January 2013, and has since then been in-and-out of the first-team.

However, he has played a main role in the club's revival since January, helping the club finish third in the Premier League.

According to AS, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could part ways with the Spain international, as the club will be unable to meet his wage demands for the new deal.

Athletic Bilbao have contacted the North London giants to see if they would accept a fee of around £5m for the talented left-back.

Monreal's current deal at Arsenal expires at the end of next season.
