Richards praises Eriksson

Micah Richards has admitted that Man City boss Sven Goran Eriksson has been a revelation and has taken the club to a new level. Man City only just escaped relegation last season.

Richards admitted: "Sven Goran Eriksson's been a revelation. He has been great".

"If you look at the football we played last season - no disrespect to Stuart Pearce - but we used to play long ball.

"But with the players we have now, Elano, Giovanni and [Vedran] Corluka [for example], they always want to play.

"We look like a decent footballing team, which is something we have wanted to be for a long time now.

"It is good that we can go out there and play some football, and show the fans that we are not just a kick-around team."
