Lars Bender on Man City radar

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen on bringing in Bayer Leverkusen star Lars Bender to the club this summer.

The 22-year-old has been long linked with a move to the Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea interested in his signature.

However, The Mirror cites that the Citizens are eager to sign up a top-class midfielder in the current summer transfer window.

It is added that they have decided to move in for Bender, having failed in their pursuit of Juventus' Paul Pogba.

Bender has earned 19 caps with the German national side.
