Derby County poised to sign Aston Villa striker

Championship side Derby County look favourites to clinch the signature of Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann this summer.

Villa boss Tim Sherwood is expected to ring the changes this summer, following the 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Arsenal in the FA Cup final last month.

It is now understood that Weimann is considered surplus to requirements at the Midlands outfit, and will be sold in the upcoming transfer window.

In addition to this, the Rams look front-runners to sign up the talented marksman for a £2.5m fee in the summer.
