Sunderland want Carl Jenkinson on loan
Sunderland will try to beat West Ham United to the loan signing of Arsenal's Carl Jenkinson.
The one-time England international had a great time on loan at West Ham United last season, and this led to the speculation that he could seek a permanent switch to the Hammers in the summer.
However, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that he will not offload the former Charlton youngster in the near future, as he still has the qualities to represent the club.
Reports now claim that the Black Cats are ready to offer stiff competition to the Hammers in pursuit of a temporary deal for Jenkinson.
Arsenal are expected to demand a loan fee of at least £2m should a move go through.
