Nabil Bentaleb close to new Spurs contract

Algerian international Nabil Bentaleb is close to agreeing a contract extension at Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.

The talented midfielder emerged into the first-team under former boss Tim Sherwood, and has since then been a regular started in the starting line-up.

Reports now reveal that the 20-year-old has been handed a new five-year deal at White Hart Lane, in order to sway away interest from his suitors.

Bentaleb is expected to commit his future to the North London giants until the summer of 2020, once he comes to terms with the wage package.
