Barcelona enquire on Angel di Maria

Barcelona have reportedly contacted Angel di Maria's representatives over a possible switch to the club. 

The Argentina international joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid for a club-record fee last summer, but has since then struggled to show off his skills in English football.

United boss Louis van Gaal is open to the midfielder's sale this summer, provided any club matches the £59.7m fee they paid for his services.

According to Sport, the Catalan giants have held initial talks with Di Maria and his representatives, but have yet to begin negotiations with United.

Di Maria notched up four goals in 32 games for the Mancunian giants last season.
