STAR STRIKER eager to make Liverpool switch

Belgian international Christian Benteke has requested Aston Villa to let him join Liverpool during the transfer window.

The talented marksman is eager to make a switch to Merseyside this summer, following a good season with the Villains.

Benteke was in top form for the Midlands outfit in the back end of last season, and this has attracted interest from the Reds.

Villa are holding out for a £32m fee, and this has forced the Reds to look elsewhere for striking options.

However, multiple reports cite that the former Genk star will look to force his way out of Villa Park for a much lower asking price in the summer.
