Newcastle United eye Cabella-Thauvin swap deal

Newcastle United are ready to offer midfielder Remy Cabella in a straight swap deal to bring Marseille star Florian Thauvin to St.James Park.

The 22-year-old has been strongly associated with a switch to the Magpies in recent weeks, with manager Steve McClaren keen on bolstering his midfield setup.

The Mail cites that the Magpies will look to offer Cabella in exchange to prise away Thauvin from Stade Velodrome this summer.

Cabella joined the Tyneside outfit from Montpellier last summer, but failed to make the most of his opportunities, scoring a solitary goal in 21 appearances.
