Baines makes Everton switch

David Moyes has made Leighton Baines his next signing for Everton after a deal was agreed with his current club Wigan for the signature of the player. Baines has joined for £5m after 6 years at his old club.

The ambitious Liverpool side were keen to bring in more proven talent and Leighton Baines fits the bill after 2 very impressive seasons with Wigan in the Premiership. Wigan have not added much quality to their squad this summer as the prices in the market have over-inflated this summer. The England under 21 defender had nothing but praise for his old club and thanked them for the opportunity they gave him. Baines also added that he believed Wigan would be fine this season without him.
