Chelsea want Berbatov

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov. The Tottenham frontman has already declared that he wants to leave the club, and Tottenham may let him join their London rivals for £25 million.

Chelsea believe that Berbatov may help revive their flailing Premiership title challenge, and Avram Grant is known to be a big admirer of the former Bayer Leverkusen hitman.

However, if Chelsea are to try to sign Berbatov; Tottenham are known to be very reluctant to sell their prize asset despite strength in depth up front.

The Bulgarian international scored four goals against Reading last week and is sure to be the big mover in the January transfer window if Spurs allow him to leave.
