Bentley wants England chance

David Bentley is anxious to appear for England under new boss Fabio Capello. Bentley has been in inspired form for Blackburn this season and several believe he may be the long term solution on the right-side of midfield instead of David Beckham.

The Blackburn midfielder told the Daily Star: "I don't worry myself about whether or not I get called up by England; I just want to keep performing well and keep enjoying my football and my life.

"If you are enjoying your football it should go hand in hand with playing for England.

"If the call does come, it comes, otherwise I will get my head down and keep performing."
