Big Sam: no Owen offers
Sam Allardyce has claimed that nobody has made an offer for Michael Owen yet. The England and Newcastle frontman has been linked with a move to Man City and Chelsea in recent months and is reportedly uneasy with the situation at St. James' Park.
The speculation regarding Owen's future continues to banter around, but Allardyce remains coy regarding speculation.
"I will be seeing Sven-Goran Eriksson on Wednesday and that will be the first contact I have had with him since we played down there. There has been nothing from City to Newcastle about Michael," he said.
"We have no offers from anyone so it's a no at the moment."
"Unless someone tells me they don't want to stay, then that is a different scenario and we'll take it from there."
