Man Utd to launch Pedro bid?

Manchester United are understood to be readying a bid for Barcelona winger Pedro, according to The Express.

The Spain international has requested for a transfer away from the Catalan giants, in spite of signing a new contract extension this summer.

A report from The Express claims that United boss Louis van Gaal is a huge admirer of the player's talents, and a £20m move to Old Trafford could materialise in the coming days.

However, United are likely to face competition from league rivals Chelsea and Liverpool, who are also monitoring the proceedings.

Pedro recently had his release clause reduced from £103m to just £22m.
