Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor could be heading to Aston Villa on a season-long loan, according to widespread reports.

The former Arsenal star has struggled to cement his place in the starting line-up under Mauricio Pochettino, and is expected to make way from White Hart Lane in the summer.

Multiple reports now cite that the 31-year-old could call an end to his Spurs career, with a temporary switch to Villa Park likely on the cards this summer.

Adebayor made just 10 appearances for the North London outfit last term.
