Aston Villa tracking Ashley Young

Aston Villa are keeping tabs on former winger Ashley Young's situation at Manchester United.

The England international had a great year under Louis van Gaal, and is now understood to be talks over a contract extension.

However, The Mail cites that Villa are keeping a close eye on their former player, who has just a year left on his existing deal at United.

The report adds that the Villains could swoop for the player's services, should he fail to earn a new deal before the close of the transfer window.
