Aston Villa in talks with Dimitar Berbatov

Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov is in contact with Aston Villa regarding a possible return to the Premier League.

The former Manchester United star was released by French giants AS Monaco at the end of last season, and is now on the look out for a new club.

Berbatov has earlier stated his desire to make a switch back to the English top flight, and The Express cites that the Villains are discussing personal terms with the experienced marksman.

Villa are also closing in on a season-long loan for Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
