Tottenham Hotspur plan James McCarthy move
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to begin negotiations to sign midfielder James McCarthy from Everton this summer.
The Republic of Ireland international is understood to be frustrated with life at Goodison Park, with the Toffees unwilling to offer him a contract extension on an improved wage package.
According to The Mirror, Spurs are confident that they can seal a summer deal for the 24-year-old, who is thought to be keen on ending his six-year association with manager Roberto Martinez.
Martinez bought McCarthy from his former club Wigan Athletic for £13m in 2013.
