Southampton wrap up Steven Caulker loan deal

Queens Park Rangers defender Steven Caulker will link up Southampton on a season-long loan.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man has been tipped to make a switch back to the Premier League this summer, with the R's keen on cutting down on their wage bill for the upcoming season.

Sky Sports News reveals that the one-time England international has agreed a loan switch to the Saints, with the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

Caulker has endured back-to-back Premier League relegations with Cardiff City and Queens Park Rangers.
