Sunderland on verge of Leroy Fer loan signing

Sunderland are close to completing a season-long loan deal for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Leroy Fer, The Sun reports.

The Netherlands international had a below-par campaign for the R's last term, as they were relegated from the Premier League.

According to The Sun, the talented playmaker will seal a move to the Black Cats on a temporary basis next season, with an obligation to a permanent switch further down the line.
