ARSENAL clear to sign LONG-TERM TARGET?

Arsenal have been offered the chance to land of one of their long-term targets during the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for France international Karim Benzema since his days with Lyon.

According to The Mail, Real's hierarchy would be open to the player's sale, should the Gunners decide to pay a club-record fee of around £45m for his services.

In addition to this, Los Blancos Rafael Benitez plans to play Gareth Bale upfront this summer, and this could led to Benzema's eventual exit from the Bernabeu.

Benzema scored 22 goals in all competitions for the Capital outfit last season.
