Everton want Genoa centre-back

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is keen on bringing in defender Sebastien De Maio from Genoa this summer, The Star reports.

Martinez is keen to shore up his backline before the transfer deadline, and considers the 28-year-old as a perfect fit for his style of play.

The Star claims that the Toffees will step forward and make a bid in the region of £3.5m for the central defender.

Reports elsewhere cite that the Merseyside outfit are bracing themselves for a third and final offer for John Stones from Premier League holders Chelsea.
