West Brom close to Salomon Rondon capture

West Bromwich Albion are inching closing to the signing of Zenit St.Petersburg striker Salomon Rondon for a club-record fee of around £15m.

The 25-year-old has undergone a successful medical with the Midlands outfit, and has agreed on personal terms over a long-term contract.

It is also understood that the Venezuelan star will make his formal move to the Baggies next week.

Rondon scored 20 goals in 44 outings for Zenit in all competitions last season.
