Gerhard Tremmel makes Swansea City return

German goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel has rejoined Swansea City on a two-year deal.

The experienced shot-stopper was released by the Swans earlier this summer after failing to agree new terms.

However, the 36-year-old has had a change of mind and has now penned a new two-year contract at the Liberty Stadium.

"It's fantastic to be back at Swansea – this is where I want to be. This is a special club. I had other options from top-flights clubs in Germany and England, but Swansea is my environment with my people." he told the club's official website.

Swansea City host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
