Chelsea approach for Gregory van der Wiel?

Chelsea have reportedly made an enquiry over the availability of Paris Saint-Germain defender Gregory van der Wiel this summer.

The Dutch right-back was speculated to be considering his future away from the French champions earlier this summer.

According to Le Parisien, the Premier League champions had made a formal approach for the talented defender, but they were knocked back in their efforts.

League rivals Manchester United had also shown interest in the 27-year-old, before they landed Matteo Darmian from Torino.
