Bayer Leverkusen sign Chelsea target

Bayer Leverkusen have announced the signing of Chilean international Charles Aranguiz from Internacional for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old was one of the stand out performers for the Chilea national side as they clinched their first ever Copa America title this summer.

Aranguiz had attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Leicester City in recent weeks, but it has now been confirmed that the talented playmaker has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Bay Arena.

"The Bundesliga is one of the best and most attractive leagues in the world and Bayer 04 has been one of the top clubs for years. I also see Leverkusen giving me the big chance of playing in the Champions League."  Aranguiz told the club's official website.
