Aston Villa sign Adama Traore

Aston Villa have completed the signing of youngster Adama Traore from Barcelona for an undisclosed fee.

The talented forward had been previously linked with a move to the Premier League with Liverpool.

However, it is the Villains who have managed to secure his services on a five-year contract.

Villa boss Tim Sherwood described the 19-year-old as a 'maverick-type player'

"He's a big powerful boy, very quick, dynamic and a maverick-type player. Those players are few and far between," he told the club's official website.

"We're delighted he has chosen Villa to continue his development."

Traore scored a solitary goal in four games for the Catalan giants.
