Chelsea weighing up bid for Julian Draxler?

Chelsea have become surprise contenders to sign German international Julian Draxler from Schalke 04.

The German international was understood to be closing on a move to Juventus earlier this month until Schalke pulled the plug on the deal.

Reports in Germany now cite that the Blues are ready to make a bid in the region of £20m for the talented playmaker.

The World Cup winner made just 10 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit last term as he was recovering from a thigh injury.
