Burnley sign Joey Barton

Championship side Joey Barton have completed the signing of Joey Barton on a free transfer.

The experienced midfielder was a free agent following his release from Queens Park Rangers earlier this summer.

According to The Mail, the 32-year-old has inked a one-year contract with Sean Dyche's side, who aim to gain Premier League promotion in the first coming.

Burnley travel to Bristol City in their next Championship encounter on Saturday.
