Tottenham Hotspur launch bid for Axel Witsel

Tottenham Hotspur are reported to have made a formal offer for Zenit St.Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel.

The Belgian international is thought to be keen on a new challenge away from Russia.

AC Milan were believed to be eager to sign the Belgian international, but only on a season-long loan deal.

Sky Sports News now claims that Spurs have lodged a £13m bid for the midfield attacker.

Witsel has scored 15 goals in 105 appearances for the Russian giants till date.
