Ashley Cole to remain at Roma

Former England international Ashley Cole has decided to stay put as AS Roma despite being left out of their Champions League squad.
The 34-year-old joined the Serie A giants from Chelsea last summer, and has since then struggled to adapt to the style of play.
Cole is deemed surplus to requirements and is unlikely to take any part in Roma's ongoing league campaign.
According to The Mirror, the veteran defender has decided not to cancel his contract, and will consider his options when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
The veteran full-back rebuffed a move to Newcastle United on transfer deadline day.
