Real Madrid plan John Stones bid

Real Madrid are reportedly considering an offer for Everton defender John Stones, according to reports.

Premier league champions Chelsea had several bids knocked back by Everton for the England international over the summer.

The Toffees have now stepped up talks over a contract extension with the talented centre-back.

However, talkSPORT understands that Los Blancos may come up with a formal approach for the 21-year-old, should Raphael Varane seek a new challenge away from the Bernabeu.

Stones was part of the Toffees' side that earned a shock 3-1 victory over Chelsea last weekend.
