Real Madrid ponder Morata swoop

Real Madrid are eyeing up a move for former player Alvaro Morata, according to reports.

Manager Rafael Benitez is understood to be discontent with the lack of striking options at the Bernabeu.

Benzema has been Real's reliable source upfront in recent seasons, but his inconsistency has hurt the club's progress in the league.

Italian source Tuttosport now cites that Los Blancos chairman Florentino Perez will seek to bring Morata back to the club next summer.

Morata has recently iterated that he is happy playing his trade at the Old Lady, and has now intention of making a move back to Spain.
