Liverpool sack Brendan Rodgers
Liverpool have reportedly parted company with manager Brendan Rodgers following Sunday's 1-1 draw at arch rivals Everton.
Rodgers was under pressure to perform in the Merseyside derby, with some sources claiming that the 42-year-old could face the axe should he fail to get all three points in the crunch encounter.
However, things failed to go as planned and his side shared the spoils in an exciting game at Goodison Park.
BBC Sport has now confirmed that the Reds have dismissed Rodgers from his head coach role after three-and-a-half years in charge.
Rodgers played an influential role in getting the club back on track as he guided them to a second-placed finish during the 2013-2014 league campaign.
