Victor Wanyama to reject Southampton extension
Kenyan international Victor Wanyama will reportedly reject a new deal at Southampton to force through a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the New Year.
The 24-year-old was denied a summer move to White Hart Lane in spite of the player placing a transfer request during the closing days of the window.
According to The Sun, the former Celtic star will not seek an extension to his current deal which expires in two years' time.
It is added that the player will force a move to Spurs when the transfer window reopens in the January.
"It's not in Victor's interests to sign an extension. He loved working with Mauricio and would still like the move to happen." A source close to Wanyama told the newspaper.
Wanyama has featured in seven games for his club this term.
