Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has no desire to return to management in the near future, according to reports.
The Northern Irishman was sacked from the Reds' job following their 1-1 draw at Everton before the international break.
There has been recent speculation that the 42-year-old could take over the managerial post at Villa Park, should Tim Sherwood get the sack.
However, The People understands the talented head coach has told his close friends that he is not interested in the Villa role.
Sherwood is under immense pressure to save his job following Villa's 2-0 league defeat at Chelsea yesterday.
