Arsenal ready last-ditch Lavezzi bid

Arsenal are understood to be eager to snatch Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi from the hands of Barcelona in January.

The Argentina international has been tipped to make his way to Barcelona on a cut price deal in the winter transfer window.

However, Italian source Calciomercato understands that the Gunners have not given up on the talented forward, and will look to lure him to the Emirates on a bumper wage package in the New Year.

Lavezzi joined Les Parisiens from Serie A side Napoli in 2012, and has since then been in-and-out of the starting line-up.
