Man Utd must pay £35m for Aymeric Laporte

Manchester United will have to cough up with at least £35m to have any chance of landing Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte.

The French centre-back has been rumoured to be closing in on a move to the Catalan giants, who are ready to match Bilbao's demands.

However, Italian publication Correo suggests that United could still have a chance to land their top target provided they are willing to pay a fee in the region of £35m for the young defender.

Laporte has amassed over 100 appearances for the Basque side since his debut in 2012.
