Chelsea to sign Emmanuel Adebayor?

Former Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been linked with a shock move for Chelsea.

The Togo international was tipped to make a switch away from Spurs in the summer, but a deal never materialised.

Adebayor has since then been released from White Hart Lane, and he is now a free agent.

According to The Mail, Adebayor looks set to return to England in the quest to solve his future in the New Year.

It is added that Premier League holders Chelsea could offer a short-term deal for the 31-year-old, given his vast experience in the English game.

The talented marksman is not allowed to sign for a new club until January as he left Spurs after the summer transfer deadline.
